The Golden Coast Collegiate League is an amateur wood-bat league that originated on the Central Coast of California. 2019 was the inaugural season, with our league being comprised of 7 teams. The league hosted the 1st GCCL All-Star Game July 31st, 2019 at Westmont College, with the league championship being played the first weekend of August. The league has crowned four champions, in 2019, 2021, the So Cal Hitmen took the title. 2022 the Coastal Dodgers shared the title with Team Victory and 2023 the Coastal Dodgers were crowned league champions.
The summer of 2024 the league will field 12 teams. The goal of the league is to provide a vehicle for the top high school seniors, junior college and 4-year college players to sharpen their physical and mental baseball skills in a competitive environment during the summer months.

The Malibu Marlins took down the Coastal Dodgers Collegiate team 7-6 in a back-and-forth affair at Westmont College to win their first Golden Coast Collegiate League championship. The Dodgers were looking to repeat following their 2023 championship season. The Marlins jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning and never relinquished the lead the remainder of the game. They fought off a late charge by the Dodgers, however the Marlins held their ground, being crowned 2024 champions.

The Golden Coast Collegiate League has announced the 2024 league schedule according to the Commissioner's office on the central coast. The league will once again feature 12 teams. Joining the southern division will be the Fresno Pilots.
The league will return to beautiful Westmont College for the mid-summer All Star Game, July 17th, 2024, with first pitch at 4pm. To close out the summer the GCCL Championship game will be played August 1st at Westmont College.
2024 will mark the 5th season for the GCCL. The league will continue to follow their mission of providing a competitive development platform for HS and College players during the summer months in Southern and Central California.

The Golden Coast HS Summer League is set to begin its fourth season on the Central Coast. The league consists of 8 teams, the SLO Philles, Coastal Dodgers, DP Knights, San Marcos Royals, Bakersfield Braves, Bakersfield Crude, Ventura Braves and the Santa Barbara Pack. This league is wood-bat only with an emphasis on player-development. This summer season the league will host a PBR Evaluation Showcase to help recognize the top talent in the league and provide a venue for players to showcase their baseball skills. The summer season will conclude with a double-header featuring the top 2 team playing for the league title. Last year's league champion the Santa Barbara Pack will defend their crown in the coming weeks.

The 2023 Coastal Dodgers Collegiate Team were crowned champions of the Golden Coast Collegiate league after defeating the Malibu Marlins 3-2 at Westmont College. The contest featured timely hitting, good pitching and elite defense from both teams. The Dodgers have captured back-to-back titles with coaches Chris Joyce and Steven Hardesty at the helm. The roster for the Dodgers was comprised of the top HS seniors from the Central Coast and collegiate players from Westmont College, SBCC, Cuesta College, Allan Hancock College.

The Golden Coast Collegiate League has officially announced their tentative 2022 summer schedule. League play will begin the weekend of June 10-11th with all 12 members of the GCCL going head to head. The league looks forward to returning to Westmont College for their annual All-Star Game and finishing the summer season with League play-offs being held August 7th, 2022. The league will return the California Gold Sox, Oxnard Sharks, Bakersfield Braves, Ventura Bucs, Team Victory and the 2020 Champions, the So Cal Hitmen. The league will also field the Coastal Dodgers, So Cal Wahoos, Santa Maria Reds, PFA Braves and the California Strong Braves. The 2022 Golden Coast Collegiate League Championship game was played at Westmont College featuring the South Division champions Team Victory versus the North Division champions, the Coastal Dodgers. It was a hard fought contest featuring great pitching, defense and timely hitting. Due to darkness the game finished in a 3-3 time to end the season. Both teams were crowned Co-Champions for 2022.

The Golden Coast Coast Collegiate League and High School Summer Wood Bat League has joined forces with South Bay Sports Training for the Summer of 2022. South Bay Training based out of San Jose, California will be responsible for uniforms and all baseball equipment for both leagues and will sponsor the Coastal Dodgers summer operations. The Golden Coast HS Summer League has begun its third season on the Central Coast. Each summer session the league will host a Professional Combine to help recognize the top talent in the league and provide a venue for players to showcase their baseball skills. 2022 will begin the inaugural season for the Golden Coast 14U Development League. The league will consist of 6 teams on the Central Coast. The San Luis Obispo Phillies, Arroyo Grande Gray, Arroyo Grande Navy, Central Coast Wahoos, Bakersfield Braves and the Coastal Dodgers. The mission of the league is to provide advanced coaching and development in a competitive environment on Sundays along the Central Coast. The main emphasis is to prepare each player mentally and physically for their next step, high school baseball. The league will feature games for 9 weeks with a championship game being played the month of May at Dunn High School in Los Olivos.
Congrats to 805 Baseball on being crowned the 2022 Golden Coast League 14U Spring Champion.
Team 805 will play the AG Bulls for the first annual Golden Coast 14U Spring Development League Championship. Game time will be 11am Sunday May 22nd at Dunn HS in Los Olivos.

The Golden Coast Collegiate League All-Stars played their 3rd annual event at Westmont College. The South squad led by Greg Smith and his staff from Team Victory defeated the North squad led by Steve Hardesty of the Coastal Dodgers and his staff. Final score was 6-3 in favor of the South squad.
The 2022 ASG MVP was RHR Mauricio Guardado who plays at Mission CC.

The Golden Coast Collegiate League Championship game will take place August 1st, 2023, 4pm first pitch at Westmont College. The game will feature the Malibu Marlins versus the Coastal Dodgers. Managing the Marlins are former MLB players Rick Dempsey and Tim Leary. At the helm for the Dodgers are veteran coaches Chris Joyce and Steven Hardesty. Both teams won their respective divisions to play in the winner-take-all championship game.

The 4th annual Golden Coast Collegiate League All Star Game was held at Westmont College in Montecito, California. The North squad, led by Steven Hardesty, Chris Joyce (Dodgers) and Hank Muro (Reds) defeated the South squad directed by Greg Smith (Victory), Rick Dempsey and Tim Leary (Marlins), 8-2 in front of a capacity crowd at Russ Carr Field. Taking home the MVP honors for the North squad was Joey Rico from the Bakersfield Braves.

The summer of 2022 will mark the second season for the Golden Coast High School Wood Bat League. The league will consist of eight teams on the Central Coast. League members are the San Luis Obispo Phillies, Dos Pueblos Chargers, Santa Barbara Jr Foresters, Bakersfield Crude, Bakersfield Braves, California Bucs, Central Coast Wahoos and the defending 2021 champions the Coastal Dodgers.
The league will play DH's on Sundays in a developmental/competitive environment that will include a pro-combine and play-off series to finish the season the month of August.

The second annual Golden Coast HS Wood Bat Summer League championship was decided in a finale between the Dos Pueblos Knights and the Coastal Dodgers. Both teams fought hard and played sound fundamental baseball. The Knights endured the test and defeated the Dodgers 3-2. Congrats to the Knights on being crowned the 2022 GCHL Champions!!

The 2nd annual Golden Coast Collegiate League All Star Game was held at beautiful Russ Carr Field at Westmont College. In a one-sided affair, the South took down the North 10-2. Players from a variety of colleges (U of Indiana, Virginia Tech, UC-Santa Barbara, USF, Colorado-Spring, SBCC, Oxnard CC, Allan Hancock CC, Glendale CC, and Ventura CC) represented the North and South Divisions.
MVP of the 2021 ASG was Nick Wolfrey, shortstop from Oxnard CC and a member of the CA Bucs organization.
Both divisions start the 2nd half of the season in pursuit of the GCCL title. The North division is represented by the Coastal Cubs, Bakersfield Braves, CA Gold Sox, Oxnard Sharks, and Santa Maria Packers. The South Division is represented by the CA Bucs, So Cal Hitmen, Ventura Bucs and Team Victory.

The So Cal Hitmen coached by Joe Giaraputo and Eddie Williams captured their second GGCL title defeating the Coastal Cubs at Westmont College. Both teams had successful campaigns in 2021 with the Hitmen proving to be too strong for the Cubs. The Hitmen will look to defend their title starting June of 2022.
